CDR Eco-Movement, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Ken Kondo) hereby announces that the company will change its corporate name to Eco-Movement, Inc., effective April 1, 2026, in order to more clearly reflect its future business development and corporate philosophy.
Background of the Name Change
Since its founding in 2016, the Company has provided BPO services centered on data erasure, device kitting, grading, and refurbishment of IT equipment such as PCs and smartphones, supporting the safe and sustainable circulation of IT assets.
The corporate name change is based on the following two considerations.
1. Returning to Our Founding Philosophy and Clarifying Our Direction
In Europe and the United States, the term “Movement” often refers to an initiative driven by a vision to transform society or industry. Such movements typically have the following characteristics:
(1) A clear social mission
(2) Participation by many people
(3) A long-term goal of social transformation
Examples include:
Environmental Movement – the global environmental protection movement that expanded worldwide since the 1970s
Zero Waste Movement – a movement aimed at achieving a society with zero waste
Open Source Movement – a collaborative software development movement represented by projects such as Linux
Inspired by these historic movements for social change, when reorganizing the former company and founding this new company, I coined the name “Eco-Movement” and combined it with the legacy company name CDR.
The term “Eco-Movement” represents an organization that seeks to create a movement for a circular IT industry, which we believe precisely reflects our corporate philosophy.
Therefore, this name change is intended to express our founding philosophy more simply and clearly.
2. Improving Convenience Through a Simpler Company Name
Our previous name, “CDR Eco-Movement, Inc.”was relatively long, and customers and partners often referred to us using various abbreviations. This occasionally caused inconvenience in terms of notation and pronunciation.
By adopting a shorter and more memorable name, we aim to make it easier to remember and more approachable, thereby facilitating smoother communication with all stakeholders.
Furthermore, as we plan to expand globally in the future, we believe the new company name will be easier for international partners to remember and will communicate our corporate image more clearly.
New Company Name: Eco-Movement, Inc.
There will be no changes to the company’s address, business operations, or management structure.
Procedures Related to the Name Change
Following the name change, we will proceed with the necessary procedures, including corporate registration at the Legal Affairs Bureau, as well as notifications to relevant administrative authorities and financial institutions.
Completion of the registration and related procedures is expected to require a certain period of time (approximately one month).
During this transition period, the former company name may still appear alongside the new name on certain documents or transactions. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.
Once all procedures have been completed, we will provide further notice to all relevant parties.

The Company will continue to contribute to corporate digital transformation (DX) and the realization of a circular economy by promoting the secure management and circular use of IT assets.
Under our new corporate name, we will strive to create even greater value and contribute further to society.
