Aiming to be Specialists in Circular IT Assets & Services
Transition from Recycle to Circular

Up until now, the recycle market for IT-related equipment has been composed of a flow where both individuals and corporations first purchase new items such as PCs, smartphones, servers, etc., then, after 3-5 years, these become second-hand items sold on the second-hand market. The new market and the second-hand market have independently formed their own markets and customers without overlapping.

In this way, the Recycle of IT-related equipment meant a one-way flow of goods from the new market to the second-hand market, ending with the disposal of the equipment.

However, in the current one-way market, there exist “limits” to distributing the increased types and volumes of IT-related equipment under IoT.

Because existing second-hand dealers are unable to handle this, the effective utilization of used products remains unachieved, and wasteful disposals are increasing. This is the current reality and it is insufficient to try to realize an efficient Circular Economy of IT assets depending on the second-hand market like now.

It is not only about improving the efficiency of resource circulation as has been proposed so far, but also about creating an advanced economic system that aims to maximize value creation by building a business model that coexists new and used products, incorporating the use of used products and idle assets into major companies that have introduced only new products previously.

Specifically, we are considering providing BPO functions = IT Assets Solutions (e.g. data erasure, product sorting, rating, cosmetics, logistics/distribution, temporary storage of customer IT assets, insurance/compensation-related services, etc.), which are centered on full automation, in support of building the best portfolio of new, used, and nearly-new products, interweaving customer needs-based usage methods such as subscriptions and rentals into the traditionally conventional IT assets ownership models of simple equipment purchases and leases.

The reason we named our company CDR Eco Movement (CDREM) is to demonstrate our determination to anticipate a new trend (= Movement) aimed at realizing this kind of Circular Economy.

We aim to be Specialists who can provide IT Assets Solutions not in the Recycle but in the Circular Economy era of IoT, whom everyone can trust.

The brand symbol combines the “EM” of CDR Eco Movement to express a shield protecting data and a heart representing our thoughts for our customers. It signifies our commitment not only to “data” but also to valuing our business with customers.

We chose a color that evokes the Earth, embodying our desire to contribute to the protection of the global environment.
